Rosemary E. Wendt of Calverton died at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson on July 30, 2015. She was 64 years old.
She was born in Savannah, Georgia on November 15, 1950 to Margaret (Kish) and Marino Orsini. She worked as a supervisor at the Hazeltine manufacturing plant in Riverhead.
She is survived by her husband, John Wendt Sr.; her sons, John Jr. of Calverton and Scott of East Setauket; her daughter, Lisa, of Shirley; her daughter-in-law, Suzanne, of Calverton; her brothers, Alfonso Orsini of China and John Orsini of Calverton; and her sister, Kate Orsini, of Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Friends and family will meet at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 3. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Calverton National Cemetery, the Rev. Charles Byer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship in her name will be set up at a later date.
