The Riverhead Free Library has a few bus trips planned for this September and October. On Saturday, Sept. 12 join the library for a bus trip to Hunger Games: The Exhibition.
Participants will visit New York City’s Time Square for immersive themed environments, hundreds of authentic costumes, props and highly interactive digital and hands-on experiences will invite visitors to step inside and explore the world of Panem, as created by the films.
The Hunger Games: The Exhibition trip costs $49 per person and registration is limited to four seats per person.
For those simply looking for a day in New York City, on Saturday, Sept. 26 the Riverhead Free Library presents their “do as you please bus trip to NYC.”
The bus will drop off visitors at one of three points, 45th and Broadway at 10:15 a.m., American Museum of Natural History at 10:30 a.m. or the Metropolitan Museum of Art at 11 a.m. All pick-ups will take place between 5th and 6th Avenue on 42nd Street behind the library at Bryant Park, near the public restrooms at 6 p.m.
The cost for this trip is $25 per person and registration is limited to four tickets per person.
Spend a day filled with emotion and reflection with a visit to the National September 11 Memorial with the library’s bus trip on Saturday, Oct. 19. The memorial is a tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who perished on Sept. 11, 2001.
Tickets for this trip are $48 per person and registration is limited to 4 tickets per person.
Both the Hunger Games and the do as you please trips leave the Riverhead Staples parking lot at 8 a.m. with the September 11 Memorial leaving at 7:45 a.m.
