A new business opened its doors on Main Street today.

Cybersitio, an electronics and mobile phone retail store, has opened next door to Sweet Tart Frozen Yogurt and the soon-to-open Mazi restaurant.

This is the second location for owners Angel and Melanie Bamberger, who have had an electronics store on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays for three years.

The Riverhead couple said they are excited to be opening up on Main street.

Cybersitio carries mobile phones, cases and other accessories and also does phone and computer repairs — including replacing cracked phone screens.

“We welcome you to Main Street in downtown Riverhead and wish you great success,” Riverhead Supervisor Sean Walter said, as he presented the Bambergers with a proclamation following a ribbon-cutting this afternoon.

Cybersitio will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with similar hours on Sunday, though the exact hours of operation on Sunday have not yet been decided, Angel Bamberger said. The business employs four staff members and will be hiring two more, he said.

Bamberger, just 28 years old, said he has always had a head for business. He went to school to learn electronics repair, he said, but change comes at such a rapid pace in the consumer electronics industry, one is constantly learning.

The Bambergers have two children, Mackenzi, age two and a half, and the newborn Natalie, just three weeks old.

On hand to celebrate today’s grand opening were Angel Bamberger’s mother, Faviola Romero and Melanie Bamberger’s parents, Michael and Kathy Widener.
