The Riverhead Lacrosse Club will be holding clinics on Saturday Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4 at Aquebogue Elementary School.

2015_0926_lacrosse_flyerBoys beginner Lacrosse clinic for grades one to three will take place on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The clinic costs $25 for residents and $35 for non-residents. Coaches are from Riverhead PAL and high school Lacrosse players and will focus on fundamentals such as scooping, cradling, catching and more.

Boys intermediate Lacrosse clinic for grades four to eight will take place on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The clinic costs $30 for residents and $40 for non-residents. MLL players will run intermediate drills to address specific skills.

Boys and Girls introduction to Lacrosse will be on Sunday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10. The class is an introduction to lacrosse and no equipment is needed for this clinic. Fun games will be provided by Jumpbunch to incorporate basic lacrosse skills. Two lacrosse sticks will be raffled off at the end of the clinic.

The MLL players include Alex Zomerfeld who played for Bryant University, a former player for two east coast teams and the coach for Bryant Bulldogs; Kevin Massa who broke the NCAA record for faceoff wins and plays on a MLL team. MLL players will also be available to sign balls and demonstrate trick shots form 11:30 a.m. to noon.

All boys attending the Saturday clinics must have a helmet, mouth piece, full pads and stick in order to participate.
