Riverhead Police Department’s COPE Unit conducted a N.Y. State Liquor Authority compliance check yesterday, targeting the sale of alcohol to patrons under the age of 21, utilizing an underage undercover agent.
Police checked 20 establishments in Riverhead from Jamesport to Wading River between 5 and 7:30 p.m. All locations were found to be in compliance with the law.

- Peconic Wine & Liquor, 184 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- OK Petro, 1212 East Main St., Riverhead
- Michael’s Liquors, 802 East Main St. Riverhead
- Riverhead Stationery, 407 East Main St., Riverhead
- Lucky Wines, 134 W. Main St., Riverhead
- Riverhead Supermarket, 945 West Main St., Riverhead
- Polish Town Deli, 432 Pulaski St., Riverhead
- Oscar Deli, Pulaski St., Riverhead
- Winemart, 757 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Roanoke Liquors, 1080 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Riverhead Beverage, 998 Osborn Avenue, Riverhead
- Wine Depot, 1698 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- 7-Eleven, 1733 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Costco, 1768 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Valero, Route 25A, Wading River
- Alpine Wines, 6277 Route 25A, Wading River
- Speedway, Route 25A, Wading River
- Thirsty Cellar Wines and Liquors, 6324 Route 25A, Wading River
- Village Beverage, Wading River Manor Road, Wading River
“These checks are part of an ongoing effort of the Riverhead Town Police Department to ensure N.Y. State Liquor Authority and penal law compliance for the sale of alcohol to minors,” police said in a press release issued Friday night.
