Robert L. Hyatt Jr. of Calverton died on September 23, 2015. He was 72 years old.
He was born on October 1, 1942 in Greenport to Ruth and Robert L. Hyatt and was a graduate of Southold schools and Eastern Military Academy.
Bob served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 and later enjoyed a career in sales.
Surviving are his wife Diana (nee Gumprecht) whom he married on April 11, 1987 in Calverton; six children: Debra, Lesley, Robin, James, Donna and Michele; 10 grandchildren: Chris, Nicole, Candice, Samantha, Tyler, Alex, Loren, Luke, Eva and Gia; and four great-grandchildren: Jayden, Ethan, Henry and Vivian; a niece, Jody and nephew, David. He was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Corazzini.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 1 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian cemetery in Southold. The Rev. George Gaffga will officiate and military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy.
