Two people were arrested in an East End Drug Task Force raid on their Doctors Path apartment today, Riverhead Town Police said in a press release.

Police said Tanisha Whitley, 31 and Darryn Hardin, 28 were arrested at their residence at 641 Doctors Path following an investigation into drug sales there.

Both were charged with criminal possesstion of a controlled substance in the third degree (intent to sell), a class B felony; criminal possesstion of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony; criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree (scales), a class A misdemeanor and
unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

The drug task force was assisted by Riverhead Town Police Department C.O.P.E. and K-9 units and Suffolk County Emergency Services, according to the police report.

Hardin was held in lieu of $5,000 bail following his arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, where Whitley was released on $1,000 bail.

Both are due back in court on Oct. 5, according to court records.
