Marjorie Jean Casale, of Riverhead, died Oct. 1, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 88 years old.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Sept. 27, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles and Grace (Nichols) Poynter.
She worked as a clerical worker at Newsday.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Walter Williams (in 1979) and John Casale (in 1988).
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Albers, Barbara Brideau, and Rebecca Barone, all of Michigan, Catherine, of Long Island, and Mary Prumier, of Albany, and by her sons, John Casale, of Riverhead, and Michael Casale, of Long Island. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place on Monday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
