The three candidates for Riverhead town supervisor will answer questions from environmental advocates on environmental issues Monday evening in downtown Riverhead.

The New York League of Conservation Voters, with the help of the North Fork Environmental Council and a coalition of local environmental and civic groups, is hosting the forum from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the the Suffolk County Community College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center. Incumbent Supervisor Sean Walter (C) and challengers Councilwoman Jodi Giglio (R) and Anthony Coates (D) will each be asked to answer a set of questions posed by the coalition. They will then take questions from the audience as time permits.

“Each candidate will address these questions without the others present, in order to help the audience clearly understand each’s position on the same issues with interruption or distraction,” the NYLCV said in its announcement of the event.
