Riverhead Free Library presents Project Linus Blankets from October 1 through 31 during library hours. Teens in grades seven through 12 can earn community service hours by providing warmth and comfort to children in need through the gifts of new blankets and afghans.
On Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. teens can earn community service hours by making a handmade fleece blanket at the library for children in need.
