A woman reported being robbed of her cell phone while sitting in her car in a downtown Riverhead parking lot at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Riverhead Town Police.
The woman, age 26, told Riverhead Police she was sitting in her car in a parking lot on McDermott Avenue when she was “physically accosted” by an unknown male who entered the vehicle and removed her cell phone. The assailant was described only as a Hispanic male. The victim said he fled on foot towards the riverfront, according to a Riverhead Police Department press release issued Saturday night.
