Joseph Barbaccia of Riverhead died Oct. 1, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 82 years old.
Born in Manhattan on May 2, 1933, he was the son of Alphonse and Jenny Barbaccia.
He married Carol Bounauito and worked as a real estate agent with Joseph Gregory in Manhattan.
He enjoyed reading the Daily News and watching television.
He is survived by his wife and stepsons, Robert Smith and John Smith, and by his son Joseph Barbaccia and daughter Annmarie Burns. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held during the calling hours. Private cremation will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Pegasus Palliative Care Center in Riverhead.
