Peconic Bay Medical Center presents a Lunch and Learn on Heart Disease on Thursday, Oct. 29 from noon to 1 p.m. Heart Disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. A healthy diet and lifestyle are the best weapons in the fight against heart disease.

Th epublic is invited to join Peconic Bay Medical Center’s nutritionist, Christine McDermott, to discuss “heart healthy” foods as part of prevention, as well as, management of heart disease.

Learn what steps can be taken to prevent high cholesterol or to help reduce LDL “bad” cholesterol.
