The Harlem Wizards fundraiser hosted by the Riverhead Central Faculty Association last week raised $15,000, the school district announced this afternoon.
It was the third annual Harlem Wizards event brought to the district by RCFA as a fundraiser to support college scholarships. RDFC sold 1,100 tickets to the game, which featured the Harlem Wizards against RCSD staff, teachers and administrators. Prior to the game 67 children had the opportunity to interact with the Wizards as “Wiz Kids.”
