GivingTowerEmailThe world is going to build the tallest building ever built – virtual building that is. And Kent Animal Shelter is seeking tower builders to help.

Kent is excited to be part of the Crowdrise Giving Tower this #GivingTuesday. The Giving Tower is a virtual tower made of bricks, each of which represents a donation made to a charity on GivingTuesday, the biggest charitable giving day of the year. This year, #GivingTuesday is December 1st.

Kent is asking loyal supporters to help by joining its team and becoming fundraisers by reaching out to friends and family to raise awareness and money for its cause. Imagine the impact working together can make. It takes less than five minutes to set up a fundraiser. To sign up, go to www.crowdrise.com/rememberthepets/fundraiser/kent and click ‘Fundraise for This Campaign.’ Each #GivingTuesday donation will be a brick in the 2015 CrowdRise Giving Tower.

As a charity in the #GivingTuesday Challenge, the Kent Animal Shelter stands to win overall and weekly challenges. And, if Kent raises the most on GivingTuesday, December 1st, the shelter will get a $25,000 donation to its cause. There will be prizes throughout the holiday season and lots of opportunities to grow Kent’s donations.

As an added bonus, fundraisers will be eligible to win prizes, too, throughout the holiday season, starting on #GivingTuesday.  A 32″ LG flat screen television will be awarded to whomever raises the most on that day.

CrowdRise is creating an app that donors can download on their phones or tablets. The app will let donors be able to view the tower in 3D and watch it grow in real time.

The Kent Animal Shelter fundraiser will run throughout the holiday season beyond #GivingTuesday. The goal is to raise $27,600 for the most urgent needs of homeless pets in 2016: food and veterinary care. GivingTuesday is expected to get a lot of press and exposure. Kent Animal Shelter is excited to be a part of it and raise money to support its mission.
