Damaris Multiservice, the East Main Street shop held up at gunpoint on Nov. 1, was the scene of another crime early this morning, Riverhead Town Police said.

Officers responding to a commercial alarm at the store at about 1:40 a.m. today found the front door glass smashed in, according to a Riverhead Police press release issued this afternoon. Riverhead police and a Riverhead K9 unit searched the area with no result.

An unknown person removed assorted cell phones from a glass display case and fled in a westbound direction, police said.

On Nov. 2, police charged Ishmael Norris, 24, with the Nov. 1 robbery. The store, located at 725 East Main St., was also robbed at gunpoint on Jan. 13.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
