Riverhead police are searching for two men responsible for shooting at another man in the parking lot outside a Route 58 restaurant after midnight last night.

Police said they responded to the sound of gun shots in the area of TGI Friday’s at about 12:12 a.m. Thursday, where, they said two men had shot at another man before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

No one was injured in the shooting, which took place following a confrontation in the parking lot, according to Det. Sgt. Edward Frost.

The victim had “prior dealings” with the two suspects, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing and if anyone witnessed the shooting or has any information about the incident to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential.
