There will be a chinese auction Friday, Feb. 3, 7-10 p.m. at Eagle's Landing/Calverton Links to raise funds for Jeff Smith, of Riverhead, who has been fighting a rare neuroendocrine cancer. Fundraiser will help Smith obtain insulin potentiation therapy, which is not covered by his medical insurance.
Organized by Jeff's family, with the help of Riverhead Kiwanis Club, Gateway Marine, Fisher Landscaping and Go-Green Sanitation.
Tickets are $20, which includes a sheet of 25 chinese auction tickets, a chance at the door prize and Hors d'oeuvres.
