Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. congratulates former Mets star relief pitcher and team captain, John Franco, who was inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame on June 3, 2012. Mr. Franco was honored by the New York State Legislature on June 4, 2012 for his commitment to preserving Italian-American heritage as well as his outstanding achievements. Mr. Franco's son, J.J. Franco, will be playing for the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball Sag Harbor Whalers League this summer.
