Riverhead firefighters doused a small fire in a trash container behind a Route 58 auto dealership yesterday afternoon.
Ten firefighters responded with one truck to Apple Honda at about 2:15 p.m.
First Assistant Chief Kevin Brooks said he had “no idea” how the fire might have started in the “cardboard only” recycling container. It was quickly extinguished.
