Five people were injured Tuesday when two cars collided head-on at the entrance to the Enterprise Park at Calverton at around 3:30 p.m.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, emergency workers at the scene said.

Westhampton resident Brian Lewis stopped to help at the scene soon after the crash happened. He said he helped the 21-year-old driver of one car out of his vehicle, a sedan, then stayed with the woman and her three children who were in the other vehicle, a Jeep.

“I tried to keep them calm,” Lewis said as the Jeep’s occupants were taken out on stretchers.

The sedan was attempting to turn into the EPCAL entrance when it collided with the Jeep, according to witnesses.

All five crash victims were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Wading River Fire Department rescue.
