People lined Main Road in Jamesport last night to watch the Jamesport Fire Department’s annual parade, which stepped off at Washington Avenue and concluded at South Jamesport Avenue, a march that took about 90 minutes for all participants to complete.

The parade is held annually in conjunction with the Jamesport Fire Department’s fundraising bazaar, now in its 59th year. The bazaar, located on the grounds of the George Young community center on South Jamesport Avenue, features carnival rides, a midway, Las Vegas tables and many food and beverage vendors. The bazaar continues tonight and tomorrow night, from 6 to 11 p.m. and on Satruday from 4 p.m. to midnight, with a fireworks display at dusk.
