Assemblyman Daniel P. Losquadro was elected in November 2010 to represent the First Assembly District in Albany.

Losquadro won election to Suffolk County’s 6th Legislative District in November 2003. He has served as Minority Leader of the Sufolk County Legislature since 2006. He has been chairman of the Environment, Planning and Agriculture Committee as well as the Veterans & Seniors Committee. He has also served on the Budget & Finance and Veterans & Seniors Committees.

For nearly a decade before taking office, Losquadro was a senior property claims estimator for State Farm Insurance. He has served on the front line against insurance fraud and takes pride in knowing that his work helped keep insurance costs down for his constituents. During his tenure at State Farm, Losquadro’s expertise was instrumental in the arrest and conviction of several individuals who had engaged in illegal activities.

Losquadro is a lifelong Suffolk County resident who was raised in Wading River and attended Shoreham-Wading River schools. Later, Losquadro married and bought a home in Shoreham where he now resides with his wife Lynn and their new son Joseph.

A graduate of The State University of New York at Stony Brook, Losquadro earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Dan’s wife Lynn is a middle school math teacher in the Shoreham-Wading School district.
