  Peter Blasl, RiverheadLOCAL's award-winning photojournalist, is a lifelong resident of the East End of Long Island. He loves shooting nature: birds, animals, flowers, and the scenic vistas of the East End. He also loves shooting sports, especially football, baseball, lacrosse, wrestling and auto racing. He's also a newshound and has a knack of somehow being in the thick of it when news happens. He's won New York Press Association awards for spot news, sports action and feature photos.
