Show me the money: highway chief demands accounting of fund transfers
The article published Oct. 28 incorrectly stated the transfer amounts from the highway department to the general fund in the years 2004-2007.
No funds were transferred from the highway fund to the general fund in those years. Fiscal year 2008 was the first time the budget transferred an amount from the highway fund to the general fund. (The numbers reported in the article published Oct. 28 were actually the amounts transferred from the water district to the general fund for 2004-2007.)
