Incident: Body Found In Burning Vehicle

Location: 2265 Route 112, Medford

Date/Time: Sunday, July 8, 2012 at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man found in a burning car in Medford today.

Suffolk County Police were called to 2265 Route 112 in Medford after a 911 caller reported a car on fire in the parking lot at approximately 3:30 p.m. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a body within.

The Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad is assisting in the investigation. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
