The downtown riverfront was jammed for Tuesday night's concert and fireworks show.
Organizers of the event estimated the attendance at more than 2,000 people. The Johnny Zarrow Band and Misspent Youth performed classic rock, blues and R&B.

Tuesday's concert was opening night for a two-day bash sponsored by the Riverhead BID to celebrate America's 236th birthday.
Tonight's free concert: The Blues Brotherhood, a Blues Brothers tribute band. The show starts at 7 p.m. Bring your own chair — and don't forget your sunglasses.
