Seven Minutes of Your Day Can Save Someone’s Life

View Mather’s 2011 Victory Day video and a local foundation will make a contribution to the Fortunato Breast Health Center

Port Jefferson, N.Y. – Can you spare seven minutes to help treat and diagnose breast cancer in our community?

That’s all it takes to view the video of the 2011 Breast Cancer Victory Day celebration at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital. Each time someone views the video in its entirety at  www.youtube.com/matherhospital, the Richard & Mary Morrison Foundation will make a contribution to the Center’s Fund for Uninsured Women, which provides access to state-of-the-art breast screenings and diagnostic procedures for women without health insurance.

View it, share it on Facebook and Twitter, and e-mail the link to friends and family. More views mean more funds for the Center and greater access to breast health care for uninsured women.

To learn more about the Fund for Uninsured Women call 631-473-1320, Ext. 4113.

The annual Victory Day event is a celebration of triumph and togetherness for anyone who has been touched by breast cancer. It draws hundreds of breast cancer survivors and their supporters who hear inspirational speakers, receive information on treatment and services, and get emotional support from others touched by breast cancer.

The Fortunato Breast Health Center provides state-of-the-art breast health care in surroundings that offer a sense of comfort, privacy and the assurance that each patient’s individual needs will be met. The Center is one only four on Long Island to have earned a prestigious three-year, full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital is an accredited 248-bed, non-profit community hospital dedicated to providing a wide spectrum of high quality healthcare services to Suffolk County residents, showing compassion and respect and treating each patient in the manner we would wish for our loved ones.
