A 24-year-old man suffered a head wound in a machete attack by another man on Pine Street in Riverside Friday afternoon, police said. The attacker was arrested late that night after a standoff with police and is being held on $50,000 bail.

Paddle Pub Long Island is looking to expand its operations with a party boat in Riverhead. The pontoon boat can seat up to 26 guests. It is powered by peddling, which moves the boat's paddle wheel, assisted by a motor, for ride of about 90 minutes.
