“Don’t wear you’re best clothes,” Rodgers cautioned, “because you are going to sweat.”

Rodgers promised to announce additional artists “every few weeks” between now and the event date. “There are so many artists who are out here already in the summer, I won’t be able to keep them off the stage with me,” Rodgers said, “because that’s what we do. We are a community that loves to support each other,” he said. “But just AVICII and CHIC alone is a pretty good show,” Rodgers said to applause.

Rodgers penned hits such as “Dance Dance Dance,” “Le Freak,” “We Are Family” and “Good Times.” He has also produced some of the biggest hits in the careers of Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran and Diana Ross.
