Two people were seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Route 25A in Wading River early yesterday morning.
A 2005 Ford being driven westbound on Route 25A by Eileen Reilly, 60, of Hampton Bays, collided with a 2009 Volkswagen driven by Phillip J. Massimino of Wading River as the Volkswagen turned onto Route 25A from Dogwood Drive, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Both drivers sustained serious physical injury and were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, the police report said. Police impounded both vehicles for inspection and are investigating the accident, according to a report issued last night by the Riverhead Town Police detective division.
Riverhead Town Police are asking any witnesses to the accident to call the detective division at 727-4500 ext. 326.
