Janet Ryan of Southold died at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC on January 27, 2012. She was 60 years old.
She was born in Greenport on Oct. 29, 1951 to Joseph and Janet (nee Gomez) Ryan. For many years, she was a health care aide at San Simeon Nursing Home in Greenport.
She will forever be remembered for her love of cats.
Surviving are her mother, Janet; a sister, Carol Crowley of Yaphank and a brother Robert of Ringgold, Virginia. She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Ryan of New Suffolk
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes. Cremation was private.
