Michael Lessard, of Riverhead, died June 26, 2012 after a long illness. He was 56 years old.
Born Sept. 14, 1955 in Riverhead, he was the son of Adelard and Genevieve (Vetter) Lessard.

Beyond that, she said, "his kids were his world."
Lessard enjoyed spending time with his family, boating and fishing on the East End. He was a big Giants and Yankees fan, too, his wife said.
