Cops: Man robbed at knifepoint in Calverton Wednesday

Riverhead Police are seeking the unknown man who robbed a man at knifepoint in Calverton Wednesday evening.

An unknown Hispanic male entered the victim's parked car on Forge Road at about 6:30 p.m, police said. Brandishing a steak knife, the suspect forced the victim to hand over his wallet, keys and various medication before fleeing northbound toward nearby woods, police said.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Riverhead cops seek stolen vehicle

Police are looking for a red 1996 Dodge Caravan, which was stolen from outside a Riverhead residence this week.

According to a police report, the vehicle was stolen from outside a residence on Doctor's Path between May 6 and 8.  The vehicle did not have license plates at the time it was stolen, according to police.

Anyone with information about the van should call the Riverhead Town Police Detective Division at 727-4500.
