Fredy Cojon-Boch, 27, charged with driving while intoxicated .13%, driving while intoxicated observed and refusal to take breath test; pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated .13%; fined $1,000.

WARRANTS

Christopher Decarlo, 24, charged with petit larceny and two counts of criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument; charged on a separate occasion with petit larceny; bench warrant issued.

Shawn McAvoy, 28, charged with harassment in the second degree; bench warrant issued.

Rodolfo Paredes-Ajcuc, 19, charged with driving with intoxicated observed and vehicle and traffic law infractions; bench warrant issued.

Patricia Rogers, 42, charged with criminal contempt in the second degree; bench warrant issued.

INDICTMENTS

Travis James, 31, charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, harassment in the second degree and aggravated criminal contempt-prior; dismissed per indictment by grand jury.

Sara Urena-Artilesdlz, 32, charged with conspiracy in the second degree; dismissed per indictment by grand jury.

Kerri Bedrick, 20, of Mattituck, charged on January 7, 2012 with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, resisting arrest and attempted escape in the second degree; pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct; the other charges were dismissed in the interest of justice; fined $250. Defendant charged on January 7, 2012 with driving while intoxicated observed, driving while ability impaired by drugs, refusal to take breath test and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree; pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated observed; the other charges were dismissed in the interest of justice; sentenced to a six-month license revocation and fined $900.

Paul Booker Jr., 34, of Riverhead, charged on July 25, 2012 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree; pleaded guilty as charged; sentenced to time served and fined $255.

Donald Parker, 21, of Shirley, charged on August 31, 2011 with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree; pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct; fined $300.

WARRANTS

Melvin Gudiel, 20, of Riverhead, charged on May 2, 2012 with unlawful possession of marijuana; bench warrant issued.

2012 0831 dumpster fire

The Riverhead Fire Department was called to the scene of a dumpster fire at KFC Friday afternoon.

Riverhead firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. It was the third dumpster fire in Riverhead this week. Firefighters were called on Friday Aug. 24 to a dumpster fire at the Fairfield apartment complex on Roanoke Avenue just north of Route 58. See Story. They were also called on Monday Aug. 27 to a dumpster fire behind Best Buy on Route 58. See story.

The cause of the fire is unknown, Riverhead Fire Department Chief Tony White said. "It could have been anything, even a lit cigarette."

No buildings were evacuated, according to White.

Riverhead Fire Department responded to the call shortly before 4 p.m.

A Calverton woman has been charged with diving while intoxicated after Southold Police observed her turn the wrong way down a one-way street in Greenport early Friday morning.

Police said they saw Mary Lindsey, 23, turn the wrong way onto a one-way street at 12:01 Friday morning in Greenport. Lindsey also failed to signal, police said.

She was determined to be intoxicated, arrested and held at Southold Police headquarters for morning arraignment.
