A Riverside woman has been charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said Valderine W. Smithen, 40, threatened a Vail Avenue resident with a straight razor during an argument Wednesday night. She was arrested just after midnight Thursday morning and charged with menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a felony.
Smithen was arrested in the vicinity of the incident, police said, brought to police headquarters for processing, and held for morning arraignment.
