Southampton Town Police report the arrest on Feb. 29, of Brett E. Chizever, 24, of Aquebogue, on a grand larceny charge.

Chizever stands accused in the theft of $18,000 worth of sterling silver flatware that police say was stolen from a home in Westhampton last year.

The arrest was a result of an investigation by Southampton police detectives, according to the report. Police did not disclose any additional details of the circumstances of the alleged theft.

Chizever, an actor and singer, is a 2005 graduate of Riverhead High School. and a veteran of numerous musical theater productions at regional community theaters.

Grand larceny in the third degree is a Class D felony conviction for which is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
