A Riverhead man was arrested on multiple charges Sunday after allegedly stealing merchandize from Macy's in Hampton Bays.

Southampton Town Police said they were called to the department store at about 3:54 p.m. Sunday, July 1 on the report of a larceny in progress.

They subsequently arrested two men in Riverside, Bobby Riddick, 45, of Mastic and Darris Riddick, 43, of Riverhead in connection with the theft.

Darris Riddick was charged with for petit larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and all Class A misdemeanors, and with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failure to appear on a bench warrant, according to the police report.

Bobby Riddick was charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, obstruction of government administration, all Class A misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.
