The spring flushing of the water mains by the Riverhead Water District will begin on the evening of April 15, 2012 and continue for three weeks. Most of the work will be done at night to minimize any inconvenience to consumers. It would be advisble during this period for all customers in the district to check their water before doing any washing of laundry. If the water is discolored, run it off for several minutes. If it doesn’t run clear, wait a while and try again.
