Riley Avenue Elementary School second-graders celebrated the Chinese New Year — the Year of the Dragon — continuing a long tradition at Riley.
The children studied Chinese New Year traditions, made posters reflecting their research, had a parade of the dragons through the hallways for their schoolmates, and invited their parents to watch their Parade of Dragons in the gymnasium. they also performed Chinese songs and recitations about Chinese New Year customs.
