Riverhead Blue Waves varsity boys soccer team improved its league record to 3-6 yesterday with a strong team performance as the boys shut out Centereach 5-0.

Coach AJ Kretschmer sees the next two games — against Copaigue and Smithtown East — as winnable matches, as long as the boys come out to be "in the game" as they were on the home field yesterday. SEE VIDEO.

"It was a real team effort," Kretschmer said.

The Waves travel to Copaigue for a game under the lights and on artificial turf Friday night at 7 p.m.
