{tortags,13468,1}A red flag warning is in effect today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected or occurring. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels will create critical fire weather conditions, according to the
National Weather Service.
Today’s forecast calls for relative humidity as low as 11 percent, with winds from
northwest at 15 to 25 mph, gusting up to 40 mph.
Rapid fire spread possible is possible if ignition occurs, the weather service said in the warning, first issued late yesterday afternoon and updated at 4:19 this morning.
