Riverhead’s wrestling team lost to Half Hollow Hills West at home Wednesday evening, 57-21.
“A lot of the kids gave it up this year and did not return,” head wrestling coach Wade Davey said. “Most of these kids should be wrestling JV. We want to put up a varsity line but we just don’t have it.
The Waves had to forfeit five matches last night.
