2012 1002 ARC test drive flyer

Ever wonder what it’s like to take a spin around the quarter-mile oval at Riverhead Raceway?

You can find out and at the same time test drive a brand new 2013 model car.

The first-ever test-driving event at Riverhead Raceway will take place on Oct. 20 and 21, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We will have more than 100 of the best-selling models by leading car manufacturers including Toyota, Honda and Ford, said Michael Lucki, cofounder and CEO of ARC Test Drive, which is sponsoring the event. Lucki said it’s the largest event of its kind in the area.

The purpose of the event, Lucki said, is to help potential car buyers eliminate any doubts and questions about their new car. Its mission is to enhance the research potential of prospective car buyers by comparing a variety of options across brands in one afternoon in an independent, pressure‐free and convenient environment, Lucki said.

“This innovative two‐day event will feature three pre‐determined tracks: a road course simulation for passenger vehicles; an off‐road track for trucks and SUVs; and for those who need more action or simply a rush of adrenaline, the event offers the once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience selected models on the NASCAR raceway,” according to an ARC Test Drive news release. “A professional race car driver will drive customers with their selected car around the racetrack.”
