Catherine Georgianis of Mattituck, formerly of Flushing, died on January 7, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 81 years old.
She was born on February 12, 1933 in Albania to Vasilios and Agatha Conis. She lived as a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting and needlepoint.
She is survived by her husband, Demetrios; children, Maria Litos of New Hyde Park and Nicholas of Staten Island; sister, Polymneia Babanikas of the Bronx and two grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home at 32470 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY 11935. A service will be held on Saturday, January 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the Transfiguration of Christ Greek Orthodox Church, officiated by Father Constantine Makrinos. Interment will follow at Cutchogue Cemetery.
